Horseland Equestrian Australia Interschool National Champs 2010
The 2010 Horseland Equestrian Australia Interschool Nationals were held at The Sydney International Equestrian Centre 22nd and 23rd September 2010. Over 320 riders from all states and territories attended showcasing the impressive talent the sport can boast in the ranks of young riders. The event was hosted this year by Equestrian NSW. I would like to thank the core committee for its exceptional work in the lead up and during the event, Judy Fasher (event chair), Elysha Sargent and Joanne Cocksedge from ENSW, Tina Stafford who, besides running the eventing, designed the draw some referred to as "a work of art", Michelle Becchio (dressage), Linda Beneke (jumping and showman), Liz Jones (volunteer coordinator), Leanne Sandrone (scoring and volunteers), Renee Haberland (volunteers and stewarding), Rebecca Andrews (marshaling and announcing), Susie Kearnes (scorer), Sally Smith (scorer), Kia (scoring), Jim Scobie (TD), Andrea Webb (chief steward), Carolyn James (appeals jury), Fiona Hughes (announcer), Charlie Brister, (announcer), Debbie Bugden (showman), Mark Wiggett (cc control), Penny Hoy (marshal), Susie Burns (marshal), Sue Birch (marshal), Edwena Mitchell (loan horses and catering), Tich Massey (cc course designer), David Lawrence (jumping course designer), Mike and Sandy (stables), Jim and Babs (venue and awards presentation), Derek Major (vet and swabbing), Alex Townsend (cc marshal), Bronwyn Doong (cc warm up), Leonore Waugh (cc finish), Alan De Courcy-Ellis (cc start box), Mary Longden and Lesley Anne Taylor, special guest judges for freestyle, all the team managers, officials, judges and volunteers from all states.
